This internationally recognised accreditation celebrates our commitment to sustainability and our ongoing work to raise environmental awareness across our whole school community.

At Chertsey Nursery School, we are passionate about caring for our planet. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our children, staff, and families in making more sustainable choices and creating positive environmental change together.

The Eco-Schools programme, established in 1994, now operates in over 70 countries worldwide, with more than 1.4 million pupils in England attending an Eco-School in 2023–24.

Our children, supported by our staff Eco-Committee—Tracey, Ella, and Julie—followed Eco-Schools’ seven-step framework to review our environment and curriculum, and to develop and implement a year-long action plan.
