About our 3s Nursery

Our 3s provision is open Monday to Friday, term time and we have approximately 60 children on roll.  Children can attend our nursery from the term after their 3rd birthday until they transition to Primary School.

From the term after a child turns three years old, all children are entitled to 15 hours of early education per week. This is called Universal entitlement. At Chertsey Nursery School we offer this over five morning or five afternoon sessions.

15 hour sessions take place over 5 mornings (8.30am - 11.30am) or 5 afternoons (12.15pm - 3.15pm), this is because we are a nursery school and it is important to establish good routines and attendance patterns.  Those families eligible for the 30 hour provision (see Childcare Choices Website for more information) can attend from 8.30am - 2.30pm. There are additional fees for lunch and additional hours that apply.

Working Entitlement for three and four year olds

Most working parents of three and four year olds are able to access 30 hours per week of funded early education.  Parents (both parents in a two parent household) or one parent in a single parent household need to be earning between National Minimum Living Wage and £100,000 each to be eligible.

To find out more, visit the Childcare Choices Website.

At Chertsey Nursery School, we offer the 30 hours working entitlement for over five days, Monday to Friday. You will need to provide a valid 11 digit code to provide eligibility.  This can be accessed from the Childcare Choices Website

We also offer a late pick up for our 30 hour children until 3.15pm.  There is an aditional charge for this option.
