Nursery School & Family Support

Chertsey Nursery School has been at the heart of family life in Chertsey since its founding during World War Two.
We cater for children aged 2 to 5 and have a long-standing reputation for excellence in Early Years education, as recognised by Ofsted.

Our nursery for 3-year-olds offers up to 80 places and includes provision for children with a range of additional needs, such as Autism, Global Developmental Delay, mild physical difficulties, and speech, language and communication needs. We also support children with additional needs within our mainstream classes.

Our nursery for 2-year-olds has approximately 24 places. We are open during term time only.

At Chertsey Nursery School, we value the whole child and work in close partnership with families to empower every individual to reach their personal and learning potential.

We are located on Pyrcroft Road.

Working in partnership with our families is a key priority at Chertsey Nursery School.

To ensure we provide the best possible support, we have our own dedicated Family Support Worker, Jennifer.

Jennifer offers individual support to parents on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Toileting
  • Eating
  • Home safety
  • Behaviour support
  • Food bank referrals
  • Help with completing forms
  • Benefit support
  • Housing and financial advice
  • Sleep
  • Parenting
  • Starting school and transitions

She also runs various workshops and drop-in sessions based on the needs of our families.

Jennifer is based at the Chertsey site on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but she can be contacted at any time by calling the office on 01932 562225 or by emailing familysupport@chertsey.surrey.sch.uk.
